Object to East Reading park-and-ride planning application

UPDATE: Facebook event for a public meeting on the East Reading park-and-ride and Mass Rapid Transit link, Friday, July 15 at 7:30 PM. At the Warehouse 1a, Cumberland Road, Reading. Everyone welcome

Green councillors share residents' concerns about the proposed 270 space car park by the River Thames near to the Wokingham Waterside Centre. Please object to the planning application.

The planning application can be found on Wokingham Council's website.

You can object using this page on the Wokingham Council website. The planning application reference number is: 161596

We are also organising a public meeting on Friday, July 15 starting at 7:30 PM at the Warehouse on Cumberland Road. This will be an opportunity to find out more about this scheme. Everyone welcome.

Finally, remember to sign the petition against this scheme if you haven't already.

Thanks for making it easy here to raise our voice. I posted my objections with

The only consolation for living in 'sardine-tin' congested Newtown is that there are open undeveloped spaces nearby for wildlife and walking. This plan seriously impacts on that one consolation, all in order to benefit outside interests and town centre business interests. '
